Selecting and handling concrete

Broom rectangle slab — long rectangular slab with fine parallel broom texture

Compare the footprint for paving and the cross-section for edging before counting pieces.

Paving shapes

Square slabs make a regular field. Rectangular broom slabs have a directional surface. Hexagons change the joint pattern. Aggregate rectangles expose small stones on the top face. Round stepping stones are separate circular foot placements. All are offered for pedestrian garden landscapes only.

Edging profiles

Flat-top curbs provide a straight squared edge. Bullnose curbs round the upper surface. Scalloped pieces have a decorative rising top. The L-profile has a broad horizontal foot: plan its orientation and excavation space. The radius curb follows a 90° arc with a 16 in outer radius; four pieces describe a full circle before joint allowances.

Measure and prepare

Measure the actual area and make a scaled laying plan. Allow joint space and nominal dimensional variation up to ⅛ in. A compacted, level, drained base and suitable restraint must be planned for your conditions. Do not lay pieces over soft organic soil and assume the weight will make it stable. This shop supplies products, not site design or installation.

Safe handling and care

Piece weights are approximately 11–47 lb. Use suitable help and handling equipment, protect edges, and do not put fingers beneath a piece being lowered. Rinse with water and a soft brush. Avoid acidic cleaners and deicing salts. Test any treatment on an inconspicuous area and follow its manufacturer’s instructions.

Can I buy a pallet?

The online selling unit is one piece, not a pallet. Quantity multiplies individual pieces. Each product line allows 1–20 pieces. Contact us about a larger requirement before assuming additional availability or a different freight rate.
